solving complex problems

I've always been curious about what skillsets the future will demand from us and how we will need to reinvent ourselves and our organisations for the challenges that lie ahead.

In his book TED Talks, Chris Anderson talks about how specialist knowledge will increasingly be replaced, supported or improved by computers. But interestingly, he claims that as specialist knowledge becomes more easily accessible, the need for understanding is ever increasing. Meaning there’ll be an increased demand for more systems-level strategic thinking.

How would you rate the level of systems-level strategic thinking in your organisation? How well prepared are your leaders to deal with the complex challenges that lie ahead?
